DoRa Gen 2 Binder Offers Faster, Safer Load Securement
Doleco USA has introduced the DoRa Gen 2 Ratcheting Load Binder, designed to improve speed and safety for flatbed operators and heavy equipment transporters.
The updated binder features re-engineered threading that advances the spindle 4 millimeters per turn, compared to 3 on the original version. This change delivers 33 % faster tensioning and de-tensioning, reducing the time and physical effort needed for load securement.
The Gen 2 also incorporates patent-pending safety improvements. Visual indicators alert operators as the spindle nears maximum extension, while a mechanical lock prevents unscrewing. The system is designed to eliminate the risk of spindle separation, bent components and unsafe field reassembly.
For crane and rigging applications, the binder’ s compact retracted size and extended reach allow securement in tight spaces and over long distances, minimizing the need to reset chains during inspections.
Mack Rolls Out Allison Monitoring Across Powertrains
Mack Trucks has expanded its GuardDog Connect telematics system to include Allison Transmission monitoring across its full powertrain lineup. The move follows a pilot program that Mack says received 100 % satisfaction from participants.
The system integrates Allison Diagnostic Trouble Code data and other performance parameters directly into GuardDog Connect’ s 24 / 7 monitoring service. By consolidating communication through Mack, customers avoid navigating multiple service providers.
Eagle Rock Concrete also participated, citing clearer insights into whether faults were transmission-only or chassis-related. Mack said these results reflect broader industry needs for integrated solutions across mixed fleets.
The enhanced service includes fault code interpretation, streamlined service coordination and immediate access for existing customers with compatible vehicles.
Mack’ s REMACK Reaches Golden Anniversary in Remanufacturing
Mack Trucks’ REMACK division is marking its 50th year of remanufacturing parts, a process that lowers operating costs while reducing the industry’ s environmental footprint.
Since 1975, REMACK has remanufactured millions of components, keeping valuable materials out of landfills. Compared with producing new parts, the remanufacturing process consumes up to 85 % less material and 80 % less energy.
The Middletown, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina, facilities conduct remanufacturing for more than 25 product lines, including powertrain and emissions components. Both are certified landfill-free and operate on 100 % renewable electricity.
REMACK continues to expand its capabilities, now remanufacturing advanced components such as Mack mDRIVE transmissions, DEF pumps and engine control units to meet the needs of modern fleets.
Terex to Sell Tower and Rough Terrain Cranes to Raimondi
Terex Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Tower and Rough Terrain Cranes businesses to Raimondi Cranes SpA, a crane manufacturer headquartered in Milan, Italy. The deal includes the Terex Tower Cranes facility in Fontanafredda, Italy, the Rough Terrain Cranes facility in Crespellano, Italy and the Terex North America Cranes service and support operation in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions, with completion expected in the second half of 2025.
Meester added that Terex is committed to supporting customers throughout the transition.“ Our cranes team members in Italy have made substantial contributions throughout their years of service to the company, and we thank them and wish them continued success in the future,” he said.“ Terex is working closely with Raimondi to support the team and manage the change with transparency and respect for everyone involved.”
For Terex, the sale aligns with its strategy to reduce exposure to cyclical markets while focusing growth on its three core segments: materials processing, aerials and environmental solutions. That portfolio includes the Environmental Solutions Group, which Terex acquired in 2024.
The agreement does not include Franna pick-and-carry cranes, which Terex will continue manufacturing in Brisbane, Australia, and Hosur, India.
