OZ Lifting Debuts Stainless Steel Davit Crane
OZ Lifting Products LLC introduced a prototype stainless steel davit crane at the Water Environment Federation’ s Technical Exhibition & Conference( WEFTEC), Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The company exhibited at Booth 5806 during the final three days of the event.
The Winona, Minnesota-based manufacturer, which has previously exhibited at WEFTEC, designed the new crane for applications where corrosion resistance is critical. The prototype will be available in 500-pound and 1,000-pound capacities. Both type 304 and type 316 stainless steel are specified for water and wastewater operations, with type 316 required in coastal and marine environments.
Full-scale production is expected to begin ahead of Q1 2026. The crane will be compatible with pedestal, socket, wall mount and wheel bases, allowing it to adapt to different installations and jobsite requirements.
OZ Lifting also displayed its Tele-Pro davit crane series, which offers capacities of 500, 1,200 and 2,500 pounds and allows operators to telescope the boom under load. Miller said this capability improves efficiency in water and wastewater applications.
Other davits in the booth included the 1,200-pound-capacity CompOZite, built from lightweight composite material, and the CompOZite Elite, a carbon
Mountain Crane Acquires Lennon Crane, Adds Tadano Distributorship
Mountain Crane Service has acquired Lennon Crane and Equipment Company, a Washington-based crane rental and sales business that has served the U. S. and Canadian markets since 1975. As part of the acquisition, Mountain will also become an authorized Tadano distributor, expanding its ability to supply cranes, parts and service.
Lennon Crane specializes in bare crane rentals and has built its fleet around Tadano rough terrain cranes, ranging from 35- to 160-ton capacity, as well as telescopic crawler cranes. The company has also been Tadano America’ s exclusive distributor in Washington and Oregon.
Mountain has already placed a significant stock order to strengthen its Tadano sales fleet, ensuring customers experience no interruption in equipment availability, parts or service.
Both companies emphasized that Lennon Crane’ s established bare rental business in the Pacific Northwest will remain unchanged, with no plans to expand into operated or taxi crane services in the region.
The acquisition strengthens Mountain’ s market presence across North America and adds to its service capabilities. Mountain, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, operates branches in Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Arizona and Texas. The company has been recognized by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association with the Rigging Job of the Year award.
fiber crane weighing only 37 pounds. Both are designed for corrosion resistance and portability.
OZ Lifting also presented its stainless series of trolleys, clamps, hoists and winches. Each winch can be drilldriven with an included adapter, and all products are built for durability in high-moisture environments.
Company representatives at the show included Richard Miller, sales manager at OZ Lifting, Steve Napieralski, president and Parker Hale, inside sales specialist.
