Tadano Introduces 60-Ton GTC-600-2 Telescopic Boom Crawler
Tadano has expanded its GTC Series of telescopic boom crawler cranes with the launch of the 60-ton GTC-600-2, replacing the 55-ton GTC-550. The crane features a 113.8-foot full power boom, 28.9-foot / 49.9-foot extension and jib, OPTI-WIDTH capabilities and lifting capacity up to 4 degrees out of level with full pick and carry, all while maintaining one-truck transport convenience.
The GTC-600-2 retains many features of its predecessor, including jib capacities up to 2.5 degrees out of level, dual hook operation with auxiliary nose sheave or jib, powerful winches with 16 millimeters rope, standard remote control for rigging operations and a best-in-class 85 % gradeability. Enhancements include a closed-loop hydrostatic swing system for smoother, more precise control.
The crane also integrates the Tadano AML-C Rated Capacity Indicator with operating load charts for slopes of 0.5 degrees, 1.5 degrees, 2.5 degrees and 4 degrees, automatically switching charts based on the crane’ s position on the jobsite. Operators can set work zone limits for swing angle, height and radius, with functional soft stops as the crane approaches these limits.
The GTC-600-2 is powered by a 260-horsepower Cummins Tier 4f, Euromot Stage IV QSB6.7 diesel engine. An optional heavy configuration counterweight package, weighing 28,200 pounds( 12,791 kilograms), is available for enhanced lifting performance at longer radii.
Tandemloc Introduces Lightweight“ X” Spreader Frame
Tandemloc has released a new lifting solution, the AZ03A00-00A-PA“ X” 4-point spreader frame, designed as a lightweight alternative to traditional H-frame models.
The frame is engineered for use in applications that require a top sling connection and is built to distribute loads evenly across four lift points. Tandemloc reports the design improves both stability and safety during heavy lifts.
With a working load limit of 68,000 pounds, the“ X” frame is proof tested to 85,000 pounds. The structure is manufactured using Tandemloc’ s Rapid Ready components, which the company says can reduce lead times by nearly half compared to standard H-frames.
The frame is built to meet or exceed American Society of Mechanical Engineers( ASME) B30.20 and BTH-1 standards, with a rugged finish in safety yellow for visibility and durability. It is also available with customization options for different capacities and sizes.
Tandemloc said the spreader’ s lightweight construction makes it easier to transport, maneuver and set up in the field, supporting efficiency for lifting applications across multiple industries.
