Liebherr Expands Mobile Construction Crane Range With MK 120-5.1
Liebherr has announced the launch of its latest mobile construction crane, the MK 120-5.1, which is now available for order. This five-axle crane features a 170- foot jib and can lift up to 4,630 pounds at the jib head, making it a powerful addition to Liebherr’ s existing MK lineup.
Bridging the gap between the MK 88-4.1 and MK 140-5.1 models, the MK 120-5.1 is designed for agility, allowing it to navigate narrow streets and access confined jobsites. Its compact size and efficient taxi crane concept enable it to cover multiple sites in a single day.
The MK 120-5.1 is equipped with Liebherr’ s new TC-OS( Tower Crane Operating System) display, featuring a 12-inch touchscreen for customizable operation. An optional smaller load hook can also be added, enhancing its functionality in tight spaces, such as those with scaffolding.
Kito Crosby Launches New Wide Body Shackle
Kito Crosby’ s latest innovation, the Crosby G-2160 wide body shackle, is designed to improve safety and performance in heavy lifting operations. Available in eight capacities ranging from 400 to 2000 metric tons, this newly engineered shackle offers superior efficiency and versatility for demanding applications.
Key features include the widest bow on the market, which improves sling efficiency with smaller sling sizes and three lifting points,
including a removable center lifting point for balanced handling. The shackle also boasts anti-rotation bolt heads to prevent unwanted movement during installation, as well as the Easy-Loc bolt securement option for select capacities.
In addition, the G-2160 is the only wide body shackle on the market equipped with Crosby Straightpoint load monitoring technology, available directly from the factory.

The system introduces a five-meter jacking beam with three connection points, distributing loads across eight Mega Jack base units, minimizing the use of steel for support and enabling lifts closer to the ground. Enhanced control systems further improve safety by precisely monitoring lift positions.

Manitowoc introduced its new Potain Igo M 24-19 self-erecting crane at the Batimat exhibition in Paris.
Replacing the popular Igo M 14, the new crane joins Potain’ s lineup of mobile self-erecting cranes and is tailored for home construction and renovation.
Compact and versatile, the Igo M 24-19 offers three jib configurations and features advanced technologies like Smart Set-Up and the Potain Crane Control System for optimized performance. It also includes the Potain CONNECT telematics system for remote diagnostics and fleet management.

Key innovations include the synchronized distance control function, which maintains load distance automatically, and the load stability system for vertical movements, which enhances safety during operations.
