Tadano Ltd. to Acquire Manitex International, Inc.
Tadano Ltd. has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all remaining shares of Manitex International, Inc., not already owned by Tadano. The deal, finalized on September 12, 2024, will see Tadano purchase Manitex at $ 5.80 per share, valuing the acquisition at approximately $ 223 million, including debt.
The acquisition, which will be carried out through a reverse triangular merger with Lift SPC, Inc., a wholly owned Tadano subsidiary, will make Manitex a wholly owned subsidiary of Tadano. This strategic move aims to enhance Tadano’ s portfolio, particularly in truck loader cranes and aerial work platforms, and support its midterm management plan’ s growth strategy.
The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2025, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals. Following the completion, Manitex will be delisted from Nasdaq.

Kito Crosby Launches Self- Indicating Dynamometer
Kito Crosby has unveiled its new Crosby Straightpoint Self Indicating Dynamometer( SID), a modern alternative to outdated mechanical products. Designed for close proximity load monitoring, the SID boasts a 6.5-ton capacity and replaces the company’ s earlier Bluelink model.
Key features include a high-resolution 6-digit LCD screen, tare and preset tare functions and selectable measurement units( pounds, kilograms, kilonewtons and
metric tons). The dynamometer also offers a 100Hz high-speed peak hold, an audible set-point alarm and an overload counter.
Constructed from high-grade aircraft aluminum, the SID is 30 % lighter than competitors’ models and features a safety factor of 6:1. Its compact design minimizes headroom loss to just 6.14 inches. The device provides up to 80 hours of continuous battery life and can connect to a hand-held readout device, supporting up to four dynamometers simultaneously.
Ideal for applications such as aircraft engine maintenance, gantry cranes and steel beam fabrication, the SID promises improved safety and efficiency in various lifting operations.

Liebherr Expands Spare Parts Distribution With New Warehouse in Kansas City
Liebherr USA, Co. has announced a significant investment in its spare parts distribution network with the establishment of a new warehouse in Kansas City. This strategic move is set to enhance Liebherr’ s customer service across the Midwest by improving the efficiency and speed of spare parts distribution for mobile and crawler cranes.
The new 12,000-square-foot facility currently stocks approximately 2,300 spare parts, with plans to expand to more than 5,000 items once fully operational. This warehouse is one of four distribution centers across the United States, complementing the main warehouse located in

BOSS Expands to Lake City
Bennett On-Site Services, LLC, operating as BOSS Crane & Rigging and its subsidiary BOSS Heavy Haul, has announced the opening of a new location in Lake City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta.
The company has acquired a 4-acre property at 1587 Burks Drive, which includes yard and office space. This expansion will enhance BOSS’ s ability to provide heavy haul and heavy lift services across the Southeast, improving service to clients and projects in the region.
Dave Johnson has been appointed director of Bennett On-Site Services, LLC in Georgia. With more than 40 years of experience in heavy haul and lift operations, including rail transport and specialized hauling, Johnson brings extensive regional knowledge and industry expertise to the role.
