PALFINGER Opens New North American Parts Hub
PALFINGER has opened a new North American Parts Distribution Center in Huntley, Illinois, a $ 15 million investment aimed at reducing downtime and improving service for its dealers and customers across the U. S., Canada and Mexico.
The 177,000-square-foot facility is designed to handle up to 75,000 shipments per year. Stocking more than 60,000 spare parts, the center supports PALFINGER’ s full product range, including knuckleboom cranes, service cranes, hooklifts, cable hoists and truckmounted forklifts.
Located near Chicago’ s interstate network, O’ Hare International Airport and Rockford’ s cargo hub, the facility uses an AutoStore robotic system to boost speed and accuracy in order fulfillment.
The center opened in conjunction with the 2025 PALFINGER North America Dealer Conference, which gathered nearly 200 dealers and partners for facility tours, equipment demonstrations and training sessions.
PALFINGER has set a target of doubling global parts and service revenue by 2030 and reaching $ 1 billion in revenue in North America by the end of the decade.

The Greenfield 30-Ton X Beam is a four-way telescopic spreader beam with a 30-ton capacity and a telescoping range of 17.7 to 29.5 feet. It features multiple lift points and an integrated four-leg Dyneema rope bridle for varied rigging configurations. The beam weighs 1,245 pounds and includes detachable legs for transport and storage. LGH notes that it is suited for offset loads and lifts in space-constrained environments.
The Aluex STR9 + Beam weighs 159 pounds, making it the lightest 9-ton beam in its class, according to LGH. It is the first aluminum spreader beam to feature dual extensions, providing an adjustable length from 8.2 to 17.2 feet. The STR9 + includes an integrated twoleg Dyneema rope bridle with 17-foot legs. Its compact design allows use in low headroom or confined spaces, with applications in construction, marine and infrastructure projects.
LGH stated that the additions reflect its focus on supplying lifting equipment that adapts to complex jobsite conditions while maintaining safety and performance standards.
Bridgestone Introduces VHS3 Crane Tire for On- and Off-Road Performance
Bridgestone Americas has introduced the V-Steel Highway Service 3( VHS3) tire, a new high-speed radial designed for mobile and all-terrain cranes. The tire aims to deliver stability, control and durability when lifting heavy loads and traveling between on- and off-road environments.
The VHS3 tire, approved by the U. S. Department of Transportation, replaces the previous VHS2 model in Bridgestone’ s lineup. According to the company, the updated design improves tire life, grip and efficiency for crane operators working in a range of jobsite conditions.
The VHS3 tire features advanced rubber compound technology and sidewall construction that help reduce heat buildup and minimize irregular wear, extending tire life by 12 %. Its new tread design— with wider grooves and extended lugs— improves grip and stability across highways and off-road surfaces.
A lighter casing design also helps reduce fuel consumption while maintaining load capacity, thanks to refinements in the belt, bead and shoulder structure.
The Bridgestone VHS3 tire, available in size 445 / 95R25 174F, joins the company’ s portfolio of specialty tires for cranes and other heavy equipment, including container handlers, reach stackers, straddle carriers and articulated trucks.
