Prinoth Launches Panther T9r Crawler Carrier
Prinoth has introduced the Panther T9r crawler carrier, a compact, rotational carrier designed to boost productivity, comfort and safety.
With a 17,637-pound payload capacity and a 6.5-cubic-yard heaped dump box, the Panther T9r crawler carrier enhances jobsite efficiency. Its operator-centric cab includes a standard air-ride seat, 7-inch touchscreen, cruise control and ergonomic controls, along with improved climate control and safety features like red handrails and an overload alert system.
The unit runs on a 201 horsepower. Caterpillar C4.4 Tier 4 Final / Stage V diesel engine, maintaining low ground pressure to protect sensitive terrain. Integrated telematics through Prinoth Connect allows real-time fleet management, vehicle health monitoring and maintenance scheduling.
The payload overload sensor is a standout feature, which helps prevent overuse and reduce wear on key components. Suitable for construction, oil and gas, utilities and environmental remediation, the Panther T9r is built for demanding terrains while offering long-term operational value.
SEAA Debuts 2025 Fall Prevention Poster
The Steel Erectors Association of America( SEAA) has released the association’ s 2025 Fall Prevention Stand-Down poster and the winning design in its Hard Hat Sticker Contest.
Joe Brown, construction manager for Group Steel Erectors, Inc., submitted the winning sticker design. His entry followed the contest theme“ Proud to Be an Ironworker.”
Brown will receive a $ 100 gift card and 250 stickers featuring his design. SEAA will distribute the winning sticker as part of its annual Stand-Down campaign.
The 2025 Fall Prevention Stand-Down poster, titled“ Don’ t Fall for False Security.
Tie Off Right at Any Height!” highlights fall risks on construction sites, particularly from heights of 25 feet or less. SEAA cites data showing that 21.1 % of fall-related fatalities occur between 11 and 15 feet.
The poster is being distributed to subscribers of SEAA’ s official publication, Connector, and is available for download, sponsored by Trivent Safety Consulting and SEAA’ s Safety and Education Committee.
A. W. Leil Adds High- Capacity Crane
A. W. Leil Cranes & Equipment Ltd. has added one of Canada’ s highest-capacity mobile cranes to its fleet to meet increasing demands from renewable energy and infrastructure projects in Atlantic Canada.
The company recently acquired a Liebherr LG1750-SX crane, which has a lifting capacity of 850 tons and a maximum boom height of 564 feet. The crane is designed for large-scale construction tasks, including the installation of wind turbines, modular energy systems and heavy industrial components.
The crane features a lattice boom mounted on an eight-axle carrier, allowing it to navigate tighter work sites with a three-meter-wide footprint. According to the company, this design reduces the

amount of road construction needed on project sites compared to wider crawler cranes, which typically require a 10- to 12-meter road width.
Company officials say the addition is part of broader efforts to support local workforce development. A. W. Leil continues to collaborate with regional trade schools and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 721, to train workers in heavy equipment operation.
DICA Introduces New EcoMax Crane Pad Combining Steel and Composite Materials
DICA announced the launch of its new EcoMax crane pad, designed to combine the strength of steel with the durability of engineered composite materials to maximize load distribution.
The EcoMax design features flanges on the I-beams that engage molded composite timbers, creating a single, rigid body that moves uniformly.
A built-in center plate provides a designated operating area to assist crane operators with outrigger float placement to reduce setup time and improve jobsite safety by promoting optimal load distribution.
EcoMax is rated with two capacity scenarios. The standard rated capacity applies when the pad is fully supported, while a secondary“ Bridge Rating” accounts for situations where the pad’ s ends are supported and a gap exists beneath the center.
Additional features include built-in lifting lugs for safe handling and a non-slip coating on steel components to improve friction and enhance safety during use.
The current EcoMax model measures 24 square feet and is rated for a maximum capacity of 160,000 lbs.( 80 tons), making it suitable for cranes up to the 150-ton lifting class.
