Bishop Lifting acquires Oceanside Equipment
Bishop Lifting Expands Into Canada
Bishop Lifting, a subsidiary of Altamont Capital Partners, has finalized the acquisition of Oceanside Equipment, a wholesaler specializing in rigging and mooring products. Established in 1990 by Greg Maloney to serve the aquaculture industry, Oceanside has grown its operations across Canada, serving various sectors including marine, mining, transportation and manufacturing.
“ The acquisition of Oceanside marks our first physical locations in Canada and continues our strategy to expand our core solution offerings and footprint to serve customers locally across North America,” said Harold King, CEO of Bishop Lifting.“ Oceanside has strong customer relationships across Canada, and I am excited to welcome the entire team to the Bishop family.”
With headquarters in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and a presence in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, this acquisition marks Bishop’ s 14th venture since 2012 and its seventh under Altamont’ s ownership.

Manitowoc Boosts Crane Operator Training With Donation of Simulator
Manitowoc has recently made a significant contribution to the International Union of Operating Engineers( IUOE) International Training & Education Center in Crosby, Texas. In a move that solidifies their longstanding partnership, Manitowoc has donated a state-of-the-art crane simulator to the training center.
This donation represents a milestone in enhancing training opportunities for crane operators, advancing industry best practices, and enriching the educational experience for both instructors and students alike.
