PALFINGER Unveils P6 Radio Remote Control
As industrial applications grow increasingly complex, the demand for efficient, compact and user-friendly control systems has never been higher.
PALFINGER, in collaboration with SCANRECO and its customers, has unveiled the P6 radio remote control— a solution designed to meet these evolving needs.
The P6 is among the smallest and lightest radio remote controls available, boasting an intuitive 3.5-inch TFT color display. Redesigned linear levers and joysticks enable precise crane operation, ensuring controlled execution of even the most complex movements. For enhanced safety, an integrated acceleration sensor halts crane operations in case of accidental drops. With its ergonomic design and customizable carrying straps, the P6 prioritizes comfort during demanding tasks.
Equipped with a robust battery offering over 20 hours of runtime, the P6 supports extended operations. An additional battery doubles this capability, making the device suitable for prolonged use. A 2.4 GHz frequency band ensures a stable and powerful connection, akin to wireless LAN, allowing uninterrupted operations even in challenging environments.

Konecranes Strengthens Climate Commitment
Konecranes has committed to setting science-based, long-term net-zero targets, marking an expansion of its climate goals. This commitment builds upon the company’ s established near-term targets, which were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative( SBTi) in 2022.
Konecranes has pledged to halve its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, based on 2019 levels, and to reduce Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services, as well as emissions from the use of its products, by 50 % by the same year.
The company achieved its Scope 1 and 2 reduction targets in 2022, eight years ahead of schedule, and has already made a 19 % reduction in Scope 3 emissions as of 2023.
Over the next 24 months, Konecranes plans to develop and submit its long-term net-zero goals to SBTi for approval, aiming for full decarbonization across its operations and value chain before 2050.
Kito Crosby Unveils Harrington RNER2 Series Hazardous Location Hoists
Kito Crosby has introduced the Harrington RNER2 series to its line of three-phase electric chain hoists, specifically designed for hazardous environments where fire or explosion hazards may be present due to flammable gases or combustible dust.
These new hoists are ideal for industries that demand stringent safety in volatile conditions, such as petrochemical, grain processing and mining.
The RNER2 series includes three model variations, each designed to meet specific hazardous location requirements:
• RNER2: Ideal for Class II Division two locations, this model is suitable for dust groups F( coal) and G( grain), offering enhanced safety in combustible dust environments.
• RNER2B: Designed for Class I, II Division one location, this model protects against gas groups C( ethylene) and D( propane) as well as dust groups F( coal) and G( grain), making it a versatile option for environments with flammable gases and dust.
• RNER2D: Tailored for Class I Division two areas, this model covers gas groups B( hydrogen), C( ethylene) and D( propane), addressing safety needs in hydrogen-rich or propane-laden atmospheres.
Each model offers lifting capacities ranging from 1 to 5 tons, with a standard 10-foot lift height. They are available in either a top hook configuration or with a trolley for added mobility.
The new series is specifically designed for hazardous environments.
