Under the new regional model, Ferchen will focus on Ontario, while Sochocki will cover New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Noe will lead Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and Schroeder will oversee British Columbia and Alberta. Each region includes a mix of distributors, end users, crane dealers and original equipment manufacturer( OEM) accounts.
The restructure supports Caldwell’ s full product offering, including belowthe-hook lifters, construction lifters, mill duty lifters, Renfroe clamps and RUD lifting points. Caldwell will continue its partnership with the RUD Group, coordinating North American sales and marketing efforts for RUD material handling and lifting devices within a shared organizational structure.
Ferchen said the new approach strengthens Caldwell’ s ability to support partners while tracking shifting market demands.

Pease brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across construction media, crane-related markets and industrial sectors. Before founding Pease Group, he spent more than three decades with a global construction media organization, where he ultimately served as chief operating officer. His work focused on digital transformation, commercial development and building scalable systems within the construction and equipment industries. According to the company, Pease will help strengthen operations, support business development efforts and advance long-term strategic initiatives. He will begin supporting key programs immediately as Bigfoot continues to expand.

He is based in Dayton, Texas, which serves as the regional hub for BOSS Heavy Haul’ s Texas operations. The Dayton facility spans 80 acres and includes a 10-acre parcel designated for future development as a foreign-trade zone.
Marcus Pharr will oversee day-today operations at the Dayton terminal. Pharr has more than 22 years of experience in the heavy haul industry, with a background in operational management and complex project execution.
According to the company, the leadership additions align with ongoing investments in personnel and resources to support work across the energy, technology and infrastructure sectors.
Ascent Lifting Acquires Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling
Ascent Lifting Inc. has completed the acquisition of Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling LLC, a Corpus Christi, Texas-based supplier of wire rope, slings, hoists and industrial rigging equipment. The transaction was completed in late October 2025.
Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling will operate as a branch within Ascent Lifting’ s CERTEX division following the acquisition. The move expands Ascent Lifting’ s footprint in Texas and adds regional service capacity to its existing operations across the state.

CM Labs Acquires GlobalSim to Expand Simulator Training
CM Labs Simulations has acquired GlobalSim, a Utah-based developer of advanced training simulators, bringing together two companies focused on simulation-based workforce training for heavy equipment operators.
CM Labs, headquartered in Montreal, said the move strengthens its position in simulation-based training while expanding its U. S. manufacturing and service footprint through GlobalSim’ s Salt Lake City location. GlobalSim is widely known for crane simulation technology serving port, construction, industrial and military markets. CM Labs said integrating GlobalSim’ s market knowledge with its existing technology and engineering capabilities will broaden the range of simulation-based training products available to customers, with a focus on workforce readiness, safety and productivity.
CM Labs stated that the acquisition supports its long-term strategy to expand simulation-based training capabilities for equipment operators worldwide while reinforcing manufacturing and customer support operations in the United States.
Shorehill Capital, is a value-added distributor and fabricator of lifting and rigging products with 42 locations nationwide. The Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling acquisition marks the company’ s fifth transaction to date.
Hoisting Wire Rope and Sling supplies lifting and rigging products directly to end users and provides services including wire rope splicing, mooring and field installation. The company has operated in the Texas market with a focus on industrial rigging and hands-on technical support.
