Liebherr Introduces LR 1100 Crawler Crane
Liebherr has added the LR 1100 crawler crane to its LR series, expanding its range of lifting solutions with a compact, 100-ton( 110 U. S. ton) model designed for jobsites with limited space and high-performance demands.
The LR 1100 is the smallest model in the LR series. Its compact dimensions and transport-friendly design make it well-suited for urban construction, industrial applications and other environments where space constraints limit equipment options.
Despite its smaller footprint, the LR 1100 is engineered for versatility and capability. It can be configured with a main boom of up to 203.4 feet, or a main boom of 144.3 feet paired with a fixed jib extending up to 65.6 feet. These configurations allow contractors to tailor the crane’ s reach and lifting capacity to their specific project requirements.
Ease of transport is another key feature of the LR 1100. The crane offers a transport width of 9.7 feet without crawlers or 11.4 feet with crawlers, enabling quicker relocation between sites. On-site assembly is streamlined with a self-assembly system and radio remote control, reducing setup time and improving operational efficiency.
The LR 1100 adds to Liebherr’ s portfolio of crawler cranes by delivering heavy lifting power in a compact and easily transportable package.

EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy systems, has received UL1012 approval for its new NexSys + Outdoor charger, expanding its capabilities into rugged outdoor applications. Housed in a NEMA 3R / IP54 enclosure, this charger ensures reliable and safe power for battery-operated material handling equipment, such as those used with cranes and lift trucks.
The NexSys + Outdoor offers automatic temperature regulation, manual and automatic charging modes and a vibrant 4.3-inch color interface delivering up to 94 % efficiency. These features make it ideal for outdoor lifting projects across rental yards, ports, airports and cargo terminals.
Alex Capellini, director of product management for EnerSys’ motive power division, emphasized that this outdoor variant extends the company’ s electric-powered fleet offerings to outdoor jobsite environments, providing high-efficiency charging that enhances operational uptime.
EnerSys continues its streak of UL certifications, following its 80‐volt NexSys iON lithium‐ion battery approval under UL2580 Rev3. Christina Warn, global director of marketing, highlighted the company’ s unwavering commitment to customer safety reflected in this new outdoor charger.
Caldwell Expands In-Stock RUD Lifting Product Line
The Caldwell Group Inc. has expanded its inventory of RUD lifting products, increasing its range of in-stock lifting point styles and sizes to more than 170 SKUs. The expansion includes items such as the ACP- Turnado Automatic Center Lifting Point and VRS Swivel Eyebolts.
Caldwell, based in Rockford, Illinois, partners with the RUD Group to consolidate sales and marketing of RUD material handling and lifting devices across North America. The RUD product portfolio includes a variety of slings and lifting points designed for complex applications and adaptable to numerous lifting systems.
Lifting points serve as the connection between lifting gear and the load. These points— which can include eyebolts, ring lifting lugs, flanges and more— are used for lifting, rotating and moving loads with the help of hooks, shackles or other attachments.
Caldwell’ s In-Stock program includes approximately 500 products that ship without additional shipping charges. Alongside the expanded RUD inventory, the program also includes below-the-hook lifters like beams and barrier grabs, forklift attachments such as drum lifters and fork booms and Renfroe plate clamps.
The expansion also includes remotely operated vehicle hooks, which are essential in offshore subsea operations, especially in oil and gas projects where loads must be managed in hazardous environments at depths up to 10,000 feet. Other items in the RUD In-Stock program include side pull load rings, swivel eye bolts, fall protection points and more.
For bulk or scheduled replenishment orders, Caldwell recommends that distributors contact their customer service representative.
